Grocery Shop

Setting up of Grocery Shop is one of the incomes generating projects which would bring immense benefit to the widow family. An average monthly income of a Grocery Shop would be 75 USD which is enough for an orphan family.

Small tuck shop or generally called grocery shops at their residence is a common feature in rural areas. It is self-managed by ladies themselves. With a small investment widows can manage their family routine expenses rather it is a most common mode of income for them.

Milky Cow

Milky Cow rearing is one of the incomes generating projects implemented during Orphans Solidarity Project which would bring immense benefit to the widow family.

In rural area people tend to rear Milky Cows for income generation. A fertile milky cow will provide 25 to 30 litters milk per day. By selling fresh milk the families will manage their day-to-day life.

Poultry Farming

Poultry Farming is one of the projects which would bring immense benefit to widowed families.

Setting up small poultry farms is another viable project for widows. Poultry farms will be built at their own premises and widows can manage it easily. Minimum income of USD 175 per cycle (40 days) can be earned by selling broiler chicken individually or to meat shops.

Sewing Machine Distribution

Providing Sewing Machine is one of the income generating projects which would bring immense benefit to the widowed and low income families.

Household sewing is widely practiced by womenfolk for income generation. Providing with a standard sewing machine to an experienced widow mother would create a self-reliance and moreover alleviate their poverty level.

Sheep Breeding

Sheep Breeding is one of the income generating which would bring immense benefit to the widowed and low income families Animal Husbandry is a risk free and easily manageable mode of income generating project for widow mothers in the rural areas.

Goat rearing is most popular mode of animal husbandry with local village folk. A pair of goats with 2-year age is USD 250. Every six months it will produce new breed and within a year hurdle of goats will be attached to the existing group. Goat rearing is cost effective.
